EG Conference

I’m traveling to Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, this weekend for the EG Conference, a yearly gathering of creatives and innovators. EG's founder says that "creativity doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Or on a clock. Or when you pay for it. Or by staying in your comfort zone." That's all true, and it got me thinking about blog post I wrote long ago about how everything is an experiment, and if you want to do something, just get started.

I'll admit that this is difficult for me, and likely difficult for many people. We all have fears and expectations about how we want things to turn out, but we shouldn't let them stop us from trying something new.

When I got invited to EG, I immediately accepted, and thought about this. I'm not sure what will happen, who I will meet, or what will come of it, but I felt I should just try it. I'm super excited to go, and hope to have some great stories when I return.
